VIDEO: Cruz Highlights Dewhurst Flip-Flops

Print Friendly
This past Friday, a spokesman for Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, candidate for U.S. Senate in Texas, made the following statement to the Houston Chronicle after SCF Chairman U.S. Senator Jim DeMint called on Dewhurst to debate Cruz:
"David looks forward to debating all Republican Senate candidates."

The Cruz campaign responded to the Dewhurst dodge today.
There's more than a little irony to the Dewhurst campaign's claim that he's "looking forward" to debating anybody. Since he entered the race, Lt. Gov. Dewhurst has skipped 16 forums in which he had full opportunity to debate the other candidates. Indeed, he skipped his 16th forum (in Bee County) the day before his "looking forward to" statement, and he will no doubt skip his 17th forum tonight in Wichita Falls.

Perhaps part of the reason he keeps ducking debates is that Dewhurst is more interested in debating himself on the issues than his Senate opponents.

In that vein, Ted Cruz's campaign launched a new web video today highlighting Lt. Governor David Dewhurst's flip-flops.
