Bob Kerrey (D-NE) announced today that he won't run for the open U.S. Senate seat in Nebraska.
Kerrey's decision all but guarantees that the winner of the Republican primary on May 15 will be the next U.S. Senator from the Cornhusker State.

The Republican establishment has peddled the bogus argument that Stenberg — a conservative — is less electable in November than his challengers. That argument is now dead.
