Bob Kerrey Won't Run in Nebraska

Print Friendly
Former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey (D-NE) announced today that he won't run for the open U.S. Senate seat in Nebraska.

Kerrey's decision all but guarantees that the winner of the Republican primary on May 15 will be the next U.S. Senator from the Cornhusker State.

This benefits Don Stenberg, the strongest conservative in the race.

The Republican establishment has peddled the bogus argument that Stenberg — a conservative — is less electable in November than his challengers. That argument is now dead.

Republicans in Nebraska can now support Don Stenberg without reservation. They can nominate and elect a principled leader they can trust to fight for less government and more freedom.
