Senate Conservatives Fund — Stenberg Supports Johnson for GOP Leadership

LINCOLN — Don Stenberg, Nebraska State Treasurer and Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, released the following statement regarding the election of a new vice chairman of the Senate Republican Conference in the U.S. Senate.

"If I were a United States Senator today, I would vote for Senator Ron Johnson in the race for Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference," Stenberg said.

"Our nation would be well served if more conservatives were in leadership positions in the U.S. Senate. We need more national leaders who are strongly committed to cutting federal spending, reducing the federal regulatory burden, repealing Nelson-Obamacare, developing our domestic energy resources, and securing our borders," Stenberg said.
