Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) wanted to secretly confirm the President's nominee to head the TSA who has refused to say whether he will give union bosses the ability to delay or veto critical airport security measures.
Fortunately, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) insisted on a public debate and a vote on the nominee so Americans would know about this political kickback that threatens our security.
But now Democrats are trying to blame DeMint for the failure of our intelligence agencies to identify the Christmas bomber and for Sen. Reid's failure to schedule a vote on the TSA nominee.
It won't work.
